About Us
Our History
Dating back to the 1920s, UK communities and fundraising campaigns engaged with Near East Foundation, notably through the Lord Mayor’s Fund and Armenian Relief Fund.
A century later, Near East Foundation UK was incorporated in 2012 to realise Near East Foundation’s mission through a London-based team. NEF UK is a registered UK charity.
NEF UK and NEF share a common mission and approach to build more sustainable, prosperous, and inclusive communities in the Middle East and Africa through education, community organising, and economic development. This allows us to leverage global learning, partnerships, and expertise to advance our collective impact.
